– they are very small with one a few patches and usually not worth trying to obtain – I have/had them all SRX-96, 97.99, and 99 I still have 97 and 98 just because) Go here and download the “Download Instruments Definitions included with the latest cakewalk software,” then unzip and the “Roland.ins” has all 19 SR-JV cards (with rhythm/drum sets if card had anyy) and ALL SRX cards except for four “special” (given away as teasers, special promotions, etc. ins files for every one of these cards as well as all SRX cards around. If I receive any response from Roland Cloud I'll post it on this thread. The JV-1080 ONLY took the older and smaller capacity SR-JV cards, but there are sonar. I used the form below to send a message which ask about method how to toggle "JV-1080 vst plugin" into GM mode in order to normally play any midi files of General MIDI specification. I extracted "GMRESET.MID" from gmreset.zip which you have attached in this thread, and played it,but It seems that it fails to toggle "JV-1080 vst plugin" into GM mode. If there are better ways to embed SYSEX messages in a MIDI file, please let me know. I have attached SYX2MIDI to this post in case somebody needs it. ĮDIT : I used MIDI-OX to create the SYSEX file and SYX2MIDI (DOS program) to embed it in a MIDI file. I have never used either, so I do not know. This should work, if the emulated JV-1080 behaves like a real one. You will need to send the SYSEX message file gmreset.syx using an application such as MIDI-OX or, simply play the GMRESET.MID MIDI file through the JV-1080 using a MIDI file player (SYSEX message is embedded). The SYSEX message to send is F0 7E 7F 09 01 F7. My understanding is that, according to page 76 of the manual, sending a "GM System On" SYSEX message to a JV-1080 should toggle it into General MIDI mode. Is there anyone who have tried JV-1080 or XV-5080 vst plugin from Roland cloud and succeed to play normally any General MIDI file? I also tried trial version of XV-5080 vst plugin,But It can neither change it into GM mode. I tried trial version of JV-1080 vst plugin, but I cannot found any way to change it into GM mode.(JV-1080 vst plugin doesn't have any SHIFT or PERFORMANCE or PATCH button unlike real hardware of JV-1080) I heard that It is possible for Roland JV-1080 real hardware to play any General MIDI file by change it into GM mode.
